Santa Ynez Valley Tech Club will sponsor a tech mixer featuring two high-profile local entrepreneurs Tuesday, Oct. 3, in Solvang.

Ron Gans, chief technical officer of the cloud-based tech company Observables, will speak on “Agile Development and Bringing Product to Market,” a club spokeswoman said.

David Baeza will address the issue of “Trends in Technology ... Hype from Reality” and how it will impact businesses.

In addition to learning from the two businessmen, attendees can network with fellow technophiles from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at the Root 246, Hotel Corque, 400 Alisal Road.

The cost is $15 and includes food and drink. Tickets can be purchased at the door.

SYV Tech Club works to raise the profile of the area as a burgeoning tech scene in the greater Santa Barbara area by actively championing business men and women within the Santa Ynez Valley and facilitating professional and personal relationships in an atmosphere of camaraderie, the spokeswoman said.
