Bob Crowe

Bob Crowe completed his journey on this earth Oct. 29, 2017 in Louisville, Kentucky. Born Robert Ferman Crowe Jr., Bob touched many lives in his 78 years. It could truly be said that he never met a stranger. He claimed the verse, “to live is Christ and to die is gain.” He was devoted to Linda, his wife of 55 years. Being dad to their three sons was his joy. His surviving family is: wife Linda, sons Gregory (Ginny), Roderic, Damon (Courtney) and grandchildren Spencer (Alexandra), Carolyn, Carson, Presley, Juniper and Starling. All Crowes.

Bob was raised in Mt. Savage, Maryland, and is predeceased by parents Robert and Dorothy Crowe and by brother Gerald with whom scripture tells us, he is now reunited. And with daughter-in-law Anne who passed in 2015.

After college he began his career as a Naval officer, became a Navy diver, went on to be involved in commercial diving and tool development, ship's salvage, (Dick Evans Inc., Naval Civil Engineering Lab, Murphy Pacific Marine Salvage Co., Searle Consortium) and 15 years of ocean and facilities engineering for the space shuttle with Lockheed Martin at Vandenberg AFB, California and Kennedy Space Center, Florida.

He was a 33-year member/deacon of First Baptist Church in Solvang, California. He worshiped with several congregations in Kentucky, becoming for the last nine years the patriarch of Berean Fellowship in Bardstown. A celebration of his life in Christ is planned at Grace and Joy Farms in Bloomfield.

Donations in Bob's memory may be made to Orphan Voice Ministry (orphanvoice.org) instead of flowers. Arrangements by Carey & Son Funeral Home, Springfield.
