This career led to her owning her own restaurant called The Strips Drive Inn in Santa Barbara.
In 1958, she married the love of her life, James Bruce Readyhough on Valentine's day and thereafter happily married for 59 years. In her later years, she was put in charge of the Ladies Day Tennis Club. Evelyn was also known in town as the ‘Purple Flower Lady'. She will always be remembered by her caring smiles, boundless energy and selfless heart. She loved nothing more than to give all she had. She will be adorned by many as a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Evelyn was one of a kind, who's cherished memories will remain in our hearts forever.
