Frank Lee Fredericks of Yacolt, WA passed on Monday, September 18th, from cancer. He was 58.
Frank Fredericks was born in Inglewood, CA on July 19, 1959 to Fred and Sandra Fredericks. Frank and his three siblings moved to Santa Ynez, CA before his freshman year of high school. There he cultivated a passion for hard work, craftsmanship, and the great outdoors.
Frank married Cindy Lyerla in 1983, adopting her daughter Candace. Together they had Brianna, Frank Jr., and Jeffrey. Frank began his career as a builder. When he moved his family to Battleground, WA in 1989 he began a new career as a third-generation real estate broker. He was a successful entrepreneur, starting companies in construction, real estate, and development. Everything Frank did was done with a spirit of excellence. He poured himself into his projects and his family. There is no better example of this than his devotion to his children. While work was important to Frank, his family was always the priority. Frank worked hard and played hard too. For Frank an ideal day would be working on a building project around the house with family, cooking a tri-tip on the grill, and going to a play or concert downtown in the evening. His enthusiasm for living was contagious to those around him.
Frank is preceded in death by his mother Sandra Kuenster Widdows, father Fred Fredericks, and son Jeffrey Fredericks. Frank is survived by his three children Candace Sowers, Brianna Hanson, and Frank Fredericks Jr., grandchildren Cassie, Tyler, Claire, Grace, and Astor, and his sister Teri Fredericks Harmon and brother Robert Fredericks.
In lieu of a funeral service, he held a small gathering of family in the weeks preceding his death.
