Sat., March 9: 7 to 11 p.m. “Big Band Dance” at the Los Alamos Valley Men’s Club at 429 Leslie Street, Los Alamos. The Rose Garden Dance Band performing classic hits from the 1940-’50s including selections from Benny Goodman, Artie Shaw, Glenn Miller and Duke Ellington. Recommended dress is ties for men; dresses or skirts for women. All are encouraged to dress up in period clothes for costume contest. Tickets are $10, available in advance and expected to sell out.
