For the 15th year, the Santa Maria Noontime Kiwanis and Rabobank are inviting people to donate clean and gently worn coats during their annual December Coat Drive that runs for nine days — from Dec. 6 through Friday, Dec. 14.
As in years past, the Noontime Kiwanis is partnering with Rabobank to make the coat drive as easy for the community as possible. Coats can be donated at any of the five Santa Maria and Orcutt Rabobank branches during all normal business hours. Drop boxes will be clearly marked, and coats of all sizes and types are needed.
All coats that are collected will be delivered to the Santa Maria office of Catholic Charities, where they will be given out to the public and to local social service agencies.
The Santa Maria Noontime Kiwanis group is eager to collect more coats than ever to serve the increasing number of children and families who find themselves unable to provide for their basic needs. For more information, visit www.santamariakiwanis.org or ask any Noontime Kiwanian.
