The fifth annual Unique Boutique will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 28, and from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, March 1, at 1490 Dove Meadow, Solvang.
The Unique Boutique offers shoppers the opportunity to purchase designer fashions, some with the price tags still on them, at unbelievable prices.
“There are few greater conquests than sifting through the racks of a store and finding that one special item, at a bargain price, that leaves you shaking with excitement,” said Carole Colone. “This is one of those opportunities. The Unique Boutique features prize possessions from some of the most fun and exciting closets of the glamorous ladies of the Santa Ynez Valley. This truly is the recycling of wonderful, beautiful clothes, shoes, handbags, jewelry, specialty items that you will not be able to find anywhere else.”
In the past shoppers have traveled from Santa Barbara, Los Angeles, San Luis Obispo and beyond to experience this kind-of-wild event.
“A young woman came last year and purchased her prom dress,” said Colone. “Another purchased an incredible Armani jacket for $60. It’s also very exciting and kind of a little naughty in that it’s held in a local ‘car barn,’ which, for two days, becomes the Unique Boutique which is open to the public.
The event’s tag line is “no boys allowed.”
