NatureTrack, the local nonprofit dedicated to teaching children about the wonders of the great outdoors, is sponsoring two Sharing Nature workshops at River View Park in Buellton. The identical sessions are 4 to 5:30 p.m. Wednesday and 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday.
Naturalist and author Joseph Cornell developed Sharing Nature 38 years ago. The program uses playful activities to bring people to more profoundly experience nature. Brannon Forrester is leading the workshops which will include a series of nature games.
There is a suggested donation of $5 with proceeds being donated to the Santa Ynez Valley Botanic Garden. There will be raffle at each workshop for a free copy of Cornell's book, "Sharing Nature with Children."
