Bob Oswaks, owner of Bob’s Well Bread Bakery in Los Alamos, encourages guests to socialize and elevate one another with a community spirit that promotes Valley businesses. As proof, the bakery and restaurant offers its monthly Meet the Winery tasting series, which continues on Saturday, Oct. 7.

The public is invited to meet Jessica Carr of Carr Vineyards & Winery from 1-3 p.m. Guests can enjoy a complimentary wine tasting paired with treats from the bakery.

All of the wines made by Carr are sourced from Santa Barbara County vineyards and are made in a traditional wine-making style to capture the essence of the grape varietal and region. Carr said she believes the best wines start in vineyards that pride themselves on precision farming. Each vineyard produces low yields, hand harvested using only organic practices. Because the vineyards are operated under Ryan Carr’s supervision, the grapes are grown to his exact specifications.
