Dunn Middle School in Los Olivos is inviting families interested in enrolling students in grades six to eight to attend one of two remaining open houses for 2018.
The two-hour events are set to begin at 2 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 20, and 1:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 5, a Dunn School spokesman said.
Parents and prospective students will meet in the Dunn School Library on the Upper School campus at 2555 W. Highway 154, across from Los Olivos Grocery.
Visitors will hear from Simon Sweeney, the head of the middle school, as well as meet teachers, then will get a tour of the campus and learn more about the experiential, hands-on curriculum offered at the school.
Families will also learn about the admissions process and financial aid programs available for qualified families, the spokesman said.
Founded as the Valley School in 1957 by English immigrants Anthony Dunn and wife Mary, then renamed in Dunn’s honor in 1960.
Although it has gone through a number of changes over the years, Dunn School remains true to its founder’s philosophy of “educating the whole student to his or her full potential” with the core values of emotional wellness, physical readiness, academic excellence, social responsibility and moral courage.
