Trustees of the Santa Ynez River Water Conservation District, Improvement District No. 1, will receive a summary and detail of the preliminary budget for the 2017-18 fiscal year when they meet Tuesday, May 16.
The meeting is set for 3 p.m. in the conference room of the Santa Ynez Community Services District office, 1070 Faraday St., Santa Ynez.
The board also will hear a report on the state’s calculations for the district’s appropriations limit for the coming fiscal year.
Trustees also will consider draft resolutions setting the appropriations limit, adopting the budget and requesting an assessment to collect $875,000 for contract obligations that will be presented to the board for adoption at the June 30 meeting.
A representative of Steve’s Backflow is scheduled to address the board regarding the company’s removal from an approved vendor’s list for backflow device testing.
Also on the agenda are reports on a tentative California Supreme Court ruling in a lawsuit against the State Water Resources Control Board over the maximum contaminant level standard for chromium-6 and the status of financing through the state’s revolving loan fund.
The board is also scheduled to receive an update on water supply conditions and hear reports on the Cachuma Project, including member unit contract negotiations.
