Three major traffic incidents Friday in Santa Barbara County included a collision that left a vehicle perched off the edge of Highway 154.
A caller reported the crash at 12:21 p.m., which left a vehicle dangling off the highway, near Paradise Road, east of Cachuma Lake.
Units dispatched to the scene indicated that two vehicles collided, possibly striking the Cold Spring Canyon Bridge.
One vehicle rolled over the guard rail and ended up on its side at the edge of a steep embankment, where the driver was able to get out of the car on his own.
One of the vehicles was allegedly seen driving recklessly before the crash, according to information on the California Highway Patrol traffic incident website.
Later in the afternoon, three people sustained moderate to major injuries in a two-vehicle crash on northbound Highway 101 in Gaviota, said Dave Zaniboni, Santa Barbara County Fire spokesman.
All three people were transported to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital.
The cause of the crash, which took place around 12:50 p.m., is being investigated by the CHP, Zaniboni said.
Elsewhere in the county, a two-vehicle collision on Highway 246 at Drum Canyon Road, east of Lompoc, caused major property damage, Zaniboni said.
The crash, which occurred when a vehicle was struck on the driver's side while crossing the highway, occurred around 1:20 p.m.
There were no injuries, Zaniboni said.
