A modernization proposal with a price tag of nearly $1.4 million will be considered by the Santa Ynez Valley Union High School District Board of Education at its regular meeting Tuesday.

The board will also hear an update from Superintendent Scott Cory on the school facilities improvement project at the meeting set for 5 p.m. in the board room at Santa Ynez Valley Union High School, 2975 E. Highway 246, Santa Ynez.

A public hearing is also scheduled on a petition from Olive Grove Charter School to authorize its charter so it can operate a learning center within the district boundaries, and the board will consider a changer order for almost $153,000 for contractor A.J. Diani’s work on the window and roof replacement project.
