Santa Ynez soccer teams are certainly getting their due respect in the CIF Southern Section polls this week.

Both the Santa Ynez girls and boys soccer teams are listed in this week's rankings. That's not all. Both of the Dunn School's soccer squads are also listed this week.

On the boys side, Santa Ynez is listed as the No. 9 team in Division 4. The Pirates entered the week at 2-0 in the Los Padres League heading into Tuesday's game against Orcutt Academy.

At press time, that game was scheduled to be moved to Santa Ynez to play on the artificial turf at Pirate Stadium due to Tuesday morning's storm on the Central Coast. The girls Orcutt Academy-Santa Ynez game was set to follow at SYVUHS Tuesday night.

Dunn's boys are listed in Division 5 this week. The Earwigs entered the week 2-0 overall and the No. 6 team in Division 5.

Over on the girls side, Santa Ynez entered the week ranked No. 5 in Division 4. The Pirates were 5-1 overall and 2-0 in the LPL before Tuesday night's game. The Pirates are set to host Santa Maria tonight at 5:30 p.m.

Santa Ynez started LPL play with a pair of 4-0 wins, beating Nipomo on Jan. 2 and Cabrillo on Jan. 4.

The Dunn School girls were also listed in the rankings, which were released on Monday. The Earwigs are listed among the other teams receiving votes in Division 7. The Earwigs were scheduled to host Coast Union Thursday at 3:30 p.m.
