Elverhøj Museum of History & Art will celebrate the newest exhibit “Re-Opening the Book”.

Location: Elverhoj Museum of History & Art, Solvang CA

Time: 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM

1624 Elverhoy Way, Solvang Solvang, CA

“Re-Opening the Book” celebrates art about words in unique and unexpected forms. Books will hang from the ceiling, crawl up the wall, cover table tops and fill the imagination. Some books are nonmaterial—made of light and shadow; some pop up; and others play with layers, both textual and textural. Viewers will delight in exploring the many ways that artists probe the definition of what constitutes a book, searching for new forms–and de-forms–of this familiar object.

Elverhoj Museum of History and Art, located at 1624 Elverhoj Way in Solvang, is open Wednesday through Sunday from 11am to 4 pm. There is no charge for admission.

Suggested donation is $5.

For more information, phone (805) 686-1211 or visit www.elverhoj.org.

The exhibit will be on view through April 29, 2018.
