"Spontaneous Chaos" is the title of the new exhibit opening at The C Gallery in Los Alamos. It pairs the contemporary abstract paintings of Santa Monica-based Lisa Gizara and the wild imaginings of Santa Ynez Valley sculptor Albert McCurdy.
Gizara, whose work was seen hanging on the walls in the TV series "Mad Men," is a fine arts photographer and painter. She is also currently on display at SFO Museum. McCurdy, a C Gallery favorite, works in a variety of mediums but is best known for his wood carvings ranging from small table top pieces to park benches.
The exhibition opens Saturday, July 15, with a reception for the artists from 4 to 6 p.m. A "Soup. Bread. Fire. Art Talk" is scheduled for 5:30 p.m. Aug. 19.
The C Gallery is located at 466 Bell St. For more information, call 805-344-3807.
