Original artwork is reproduced for the labels of all Vino de Suenos Wines. Artist Jim Farnum created a piece that was used for Longoria Wines in 2014.

Vino de Suenos is one of the biggest fundraisers of the year for People Helping People. For 2016, the nonprofit organization has added new features in an effort to bring in even more contributions.

The annual wine tasting and sale and art auction is kicking it up a notch with concierge service and a private VIP lounge for donors who dig deep.

VIP packages range from $500 to $2,000. They include tickets to the event, access to the lounge, sparkling wine greeting, tastings of specially selected wine from Foxen, Longoria and Foley Estate, gourmet appetizers and desserts and wine to take home.

More importantly, the larger donations underwrite People Helping People services such as providing rental assistance to a family or a dental exam for a child.

Vino de Suenos was launched in 2008. The event presents a curated selection of local wines, each with the unique Vino de Suenos wine labels reproduced from original pieces of art. Participating artists include Peggy Brierton, Jim Farnum, Rebecca Gomez, Renee Kelleher, Suzan Hamilton-Todd and Seyburn Zorthian.

Proceeds from the event are earmarked to make a difference in the lives of vineyard and farmworkers who toil in the county’s agriculture, vineyard and wine businesses.

Vino de Suenos is scheduled for 3 to 6 p.m. Saturday at the Santa Ynez Valley Marriott in Buellton.
